9,000 sq ft of deals for Urban Splash

27 May 2015

Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has secured 9,000 sq ft of lettings with ten new tenants this month.

The developer offers more than 1 million sq ft of commercial space across its UK wide portfolio. The recent deals include 2,000 sq ft of lettings at Ducie House in Manchester to tenants including Wild Business Radio, mattress supplier Leesa Sleep Limited, law firm Heaney Watson, design studio Left Media and ecommerce specialist Vedo. 1,600 sq ft has also been let to hairdressing salon Industry who has taken the final unit at Longlands Mill in Stalybridge.

A further 1,114 sq ft of space has been let in the Urban Splash Liverpool portfolio which includes space in the Ropewalks area of the city and the Matchworks in Speke. New tenants include; builders HE Simm, Intex Systems and architects JDA Liverpool.

The biggest letting has been secured with Wildwood; its 3,554 sq ft unit at the Royal William Yard in Plymouth and a representative from the restaurant company said: “We are delighted to be joining the diverse mix of businesses already at the Yard. The scheme represents a unique opportunity and we hope that our restaurant and deli will not only fit in well with the beautiful array of Listed buildings but will enhance and complement the food offer already available. We are really excited to be opening our newest venue and we hope that people from in and outside the Yard will enjoy our exclusively imported products and freshly prepared salads, breads and cakes in the deli as well as our grills pizzas and pasta in the restaurant .”

Speaking of the deals, Urban Splash associate director Emily Handslip added: “I am delighted that we have continued our momentum from 2014 and secured these new tenants – all of whom are exciting businesses.”

Urban Splash offers office, retail, leisure and light industrial spaces across its commercial portfolio. A flexible landlord, the company offers a range of lease options including monthly licenses and short form leases, helping businesses of all sizes and types take its space.

The portfolio is currently 85% let with remaining units including light industrial space in Manchester and Liverpool. The company will also soon begin marketing its new studio office space at Stubbs Mill in New Islington.

Emily concluded: “Our commercial portfolio continues to perform exceptionally well. We are fortunate enough to have a rich and diverse mix of space on offer; from small start-up units of under 100 sq ft, through to larger spaces at buildings like Chips in Manchester and Royal William Yard in Plymouth. Most of the units are housed within interesting, reinvigorated buildings – meaning there’s a lot of demand from contemporary businesses looking for well-designed workspaces.”
