New Christmas market launched at Fort Dunlop

The building is home to some of the Midland’s favourite businesses who will be joined for one day only by a host of stalls for the event, which will take place on Wednesday 11th December from 11am until 3pm.

Confirmed stalls to date include an array of local craftspeople who have been enlisted to sell their wares including crystal, candles, books, scarves and gloves. There’ll also be a festive feast on offer with stalls making crepes, Indian dishes, mince pies and a hog roast.

Emily Handslip, associate director at Urban Splash said: “There’s a great mix of businesses at Fort Dunlop and in the six-years since we completed the transformation of the building, it’s become a vibrant community. We thought it was about time to celebrate that at Christmas and I’d like to thank our assistant building manager Karen Perry for her efforts in getting the stallholders committed to what will be a fantastic event.”

The market will be open to tenants and visitors alike. It will be hosted in the atrium area of Fort Dunlop, a vast space which will be filled with festive cheer, guests and Christmas music.

Added organiser Karen Perry: “There’s been no shortage of stallholders wanting to get involved at this event and I can’t wait to see it come together on the day. I would encourage anyone in the area to come along and guarantee we’ll get you in the mood for the festive season. “

Fort Dunlop is a much admired business hub; the building which offers in excess of 300,000 sq ft of office and retail space, stands overlooking the M6 motorway on the outskirts of Birmingham. It has been a prominent feature on the Birmingham commercial market for six years and is home to a range of businesses, leisure and retail occupiers.
