New Urban Splash occupiers takes 2010 total let to 80,000 Sq ft

04 August 2010

Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has secured three new tenants in its Liverpool portfolio, taking the total value of space let this year to more than 80,000 sq ft.

Leisure operator 8th Leisure Entertainment has taken a 5,500 sq ft unit at Old Haymarket which will soon be launched as a new café and piano bar. Meanwhile in the company’s Slater Street portfolio three companies have moved into the schem; web design company InVerterbrates, Connected Thought and Tomfoolery Pictures.

The news comes as the company announces a further letting at its Albert Mill scheme in Manchester to textile company MEDDAX, trading as Biddle Sawyer Silks, takes a 2,164 sq ft unit at the scheme.

Lynn Haime, associate director at Urban Splash, said: “We are delighted to have completed this deal and to welcome even more great tenants to our schemes in Liverpool. The diversity of our buildings, mix of uses and flexibility we offer is evident throughout our Liverpool portfolio; from start up offices at both Slater Street and at Mersey House in Garston to large leisure spaces at Tea Factory and Old Haymarket. This, and the high quality of design across our portfolio means that we have made a positive start to 2010 and we look forward to announcing news of more deals in the coming weeks.”
