Two more thrilling acts confirmed for Royal William Yard's Weekend of Wonders

27 August 2015

Urban Splash are delighted to announce two more acts have signed up for the marvellous Weekend of Wonders taking place at Royal William Yard on Sunday 6th September with the Invisible Circus and during the Good Food Market from 10am – 4pm.

The Tightrope Walker Chris "Anaspitos" Bull, who has been walking wires and ropes for over 12 years, will wire walk across the Royal William Yard Marina Basin, and the Wall Running artist and choreographer David Greeves, who has worked with aerial wire performance for over 18 years.

Emily Handslip, Associate Director of Urban Splash, says of the much-anticipated Weekend of Wonders:

“To have such a dynamic event at Royal William Yard is fantastic for Plymouth and the Yard. We want to showcase something that has never before been seen in Plymouth and to bring a thrilling and memorable show for visitors to the Yard and this is what The Invisible Circus does best. The talent that will be at the Weekend of Wonders is phenomenal and to think we will actually have a tightrope walker across the marina and wall walkers performing the unimaginable within the yard, means this is going to be nothing short of spectacular.”

Also confirmed for the Weekend of Wonders is Strong Man - Sir Leopold Aleksander - The Lion of London, The World’s Tallest Bubbleologist, Hula Hooper Miss Merlin, Slack Rope impresario the Great Bullzini and of course The Invisible Circus Ringmaster Doug Francisco.

The Good Food Market will be held on the lawn as normal offering the finest artisan produce the South West has to offer. Joining the Weekend of Wonders will be the Invisible Youth who will offer exciting circus training for children who would like to take part in juggling, diabolo, plate spinning, hula hooping and low tightrope wire walking!
