A successful Q2 sees Urban Splash complete 14,162 sq ft of north west deals

Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has completed deals on 14,162 sq ft of workspace in the North West in Q2, welcoming businesses from a range of sectors into its Manchester and Liverpool portfolio.

New customers moved into buildings across both cities in the last quarter; The Prince’s Trust took 1,223 sq ft of space at the Vanilla Factory in the Ropewalks area of Liverpool – adding to its existing space at another Urban Splash building in Manchester. Further Merseyside deals were completed at The Ternary, Old Haymarket and Matchworks.

In Salford, Urban Splash completed more deals at its refurbished Boat Shed building at Exchange Quay. The scheme appeals to customers thanks to riverfront gardens, communal spaces and its location adjacent to the Metrolink; almost 1,800 sq ft of deals were completed here in the last quarter. The company also welcomed new businesses into Beehive Mill – the former home to Sankey’s nightclub in Manchester’s Ancoats.

In addition to the 14,162 sq ft of deals completed in the company’s North West portfolio, it also welcomed a range of new occupiers to Royal William Yard in Plymouth. Pho Restaurant and BLOCK are among the new additions to the Grade I Listed Melville building at the Yard – a regenerated formal naval supplies yard being transformed by Urban Splash.

The company is now turning its attentions to marketing new space including at Richmond Street in Manchester, where it has refurbished three floors of space in the city’s Gay Village, all of which is now available to rent.
