Urban Splash helping customers into home ownership at Longlands

23 July 2012

Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash is hosting a mortgage workshop at its Longlands scheme in Stalybridge, helping customers buyers understand more about getting on the property ladder. And to further help buyers Urban Splash will contribute 5% towards the deposit of anyone who reserves on the night.

The event will be hosted from 5pm on Thursday 2nd August and is open to anyone interested in owning their own home. There’ll also be a chance to look around the completed Longlands scheme and fantastic show apartments. The Urban Splash sales team will be on hand to answer questions as well as an independent financial advisor.

Nicola Wallis, Urban Splash director of sales said: “We have hosted these events at a number of our schemes around the country and they’re a great way of introducing our customers to different ways in which they can own an Urban Splash home as well as helping them find out more about the mortgage options available to them. At Longlands we offer customers a range of ways in which they can live at the scheme.”

In addition to the mortgage advice we are also offering an incentive of 5% contribution towards a deposit for anyone who reserves a home on the shared ownership scheme on the night. The Government backed scheme is available on selected apartments and prices start from just £50,000 for a 50% share for a one bedroom home. This option is open to buyers with a combined household income of less than £60,000 and in full time employment and allows customers to purchase between 25% and 75% of their own home based on what they can afford.

Continued Nicola: “This product is great for customers who need additional support in getting onto the housing ladder. It’s definitely worth coming along to hear about it first hand from our team. Sometimes people don’t think they’ll qualify so we like to sit face to face and show them that if they fit the criteria outlined by the Government then this option could work for them and help them onto the property ladder.”

The Longlands scheme offers buyers the chance to enjoy urban living but in a suburban surround. The scheme comprises two buildings; the restored 19th Century Mill building and the adjacent Pattern House new build. Each building is surrounded by landscaped gardens and flanked by the River Tame and Huddersfield Canal. Homes here are fantastically designed; in the Mill they boast original features such as beams and brickwork, while in Pattern House floor to ceiling glazing gives residents amazing views of the Peak District, some of the homes are also spread across two floors. Each of the homes has a fitted kitchen, bathroom and some feature balconies.

The scheme stands in the centre of Stalybridge, close to the train station and town centre. Anybody wishing to obtain further information should call Ellie Marsh on 0161 850 0196 or visit http://ec2-63-34-210-119.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com/residential/longlands
