58 new apartments for sale at Port Loop
We have released the first images of our new show apartment at Port Loop – Birmingham’s newest canalside neighbourhood. Designed by architects shedkm and styled by interiors studio San Stae, the show home gives buyers a flavour of the 58 new apartments that will be ready to move into by the autumn, with homes available for outright purchase and via shared ownership.
Awards for our Urban Splash places in Plymouth and Sheffield
We’ve won two more prestigious awards this summer! Our regeneration of the Grade II Listed Park Hill in Sheffield has won a RIBA National Award, celebrating UK buildings that significantly contribute to architecture. While Royal William Yard in Plymouth triumphed at the RTPI South West Awards for Planning Excellence – recognition of our transformation of the Grade I Listed Melville at the heart of the Yard. These accolades bring our total to 485 awards.
Consulting on plans in Milton Keynes, Swansea and Sheffield
We’re excited to announce public consultations this summer as we plan our latest Urban Splash developments. In Milton Keynes, we’ve just completed a consultation on the broader neighbourhood ahead of a further outline planning application later in the year. In August, we’ll head to Swansea for a public consultation on new proposals for a city centre site featuring shops, cafes, and offices, and later on this summer we’ll be in Sheffield, showing local people our vision for Cole Brothers.
New homes at Royal William Yard in Plymouth
Our friends at Poppy Developments have introduced 24 new homes at Royal William Yard in Plymouth, offering buyers a unique opportunity to live in this historic waterfront neighbourhood. The townhouses, ranging from one to four bedrooms, are in the Grade II Listed Factory Cooperage building, conveniently located near restaurants – including the soon-to-open News Café – as well as bars, cafes, galleries, restaurants, shops and other amenities.
Joining the conversation around sustainable new homes
With a new government in Westminster, our colleagues Suzy Jones and Julian Curnuck have contributed to the dialogue. Suzy wrote an essay for The House magazine’s Path to Net Zero supplement; featuring alongside insights from new MPs, senior advisors, peers, and policymakers, she outlines the changes needed to build more sustainable homes and communities across the UK. Julian was interviewed by Politics Home too, talking all things Urban Splash and the importance of long-term regeneration.
Expanding our team
We’ve welcomed two new colleagues to our marketing team with the appointment of Feargal McKenna and Beth Richardson. McKenna, formerly of Hobs Group, will enhance marketing strategies, while Richardson, from Truth PR, will manage social and digital content. Their appointments come as we prepare to deliver 4,500 new homes and 500,000 sq ft of commercial space at places like Port Loop in Birmingham, Park Hill in Sheffield, Campbell Park in Milton Keynes and more.
