More space let as success continues at the Fort

    09 March 2009

Award winning property developer Urban Splash has let further space at its Fort Dunlop scheme in Birmingham – with one tenant expanding and another moving in.

Elmfield, a training and accreditation company who has been at the Fort for since September 2007, has set up a new division of its business within the mixed use building – which includes office and retail space as well as a 100 bedroom hotel. A six year lease on 9,000 sq ft of office accommodation has been confirmed – the company now occupies 12,700 sq ft of space at the building.

Chris Hall from the company said: “Our business has been located at Fort Dunlop since September 2007 and we are delighted with the quality of the accommodation, the amenities and the flexibility of Urban Splash as a landlord. Upon being awarded with a new contract for Phones 4 U we immediately knew that we wanted to expand within the Fort.”

In a further deal, Birmingham based advertising and marketing company Inspired Thinking has taken a 2,200 sq ft unit at the scheme.

The deals are the latest in what has been a successful month for the commercial team with lettings across the country. Emily Jones, associate director at Urban Splash, said: “I am delighted to announce more activity within our commercial portfolio. Not only is it great to welcome another business to Fort Dunlop, but we’re really proud to accommodate Elmfield through its business growth.”

Just 17,000 sq ft of space remains at Fort Dunlop. Anybody wishing to occupy one of the few remaining units can contact the Emily Jones on 0333 666 0000.
