Urban Splash add to the fabric of Stalybridge with Pattern House

16 February 2011

The building, with its colourful façade and contemporary design, is situated in the heart of the town. It forms part of the wider Longlands scheme, which also comprises the 19th Century Longlands Mill which was restored by Urban Splash in late 2008. The two new show apartments demonstrate the quality of the Pattern House offer; combining urban living with a suburban setting.

Urban Splash director of sales Nicola Wallis said: “This building looks fantastic. With its colourful façade sitting against the red brick of Longlands Mill and its great views across the Peak District it really does offer a great new place to live for our customers.”

Urban Splash has also introduced a number of affordable ways for people to live in Pattern House. For first time buyers, or those who don’t currently own their own home, a Government backed shared ownership scheme will be available on selected apartments and prices will start from just £50,000 for a 50% share. This option is open to buyers with a combined household income of less than £60,000 and in full time employment and allows customers to purchase between 25% and 75% of their own home based on what they can afford. For customers not quite ready to purchase there’s a rental option where they can rent their home for 80% of the market rent, allowing them to save up a deposit to buy their home whilst living there. There are also outright purchase and rental options available.

Nicola continued: “We’re delighted to be able to offer homes like these with such great design, space and within commutable reach of Manchester and other major Cities. Each apartment boasts full height glazing, balconies, underfloor heating and high specification bathrooms and kitchens. The apartments are also nestled in between the River Tame and Ashton Canal and sits within the private residents’ landscape gardens.”

Pattern House stands on Castle Street in the centre of Stalybridge. The train station is a few minutes walk away and offers direct routes to Manchester (minutes), Liverpool and Leeds and an array of restaurants and bars are just a stone’s throw away.

As with Longlands Mill, Pattern House was designed by architects SpaceCraft who took a unique approach to the building by creating a mix of single level and duplex apartments. The distinction between duplex and single floor homes can be identified on the building’s façade with each coloured panel identifying an individual apartment, if the same coloured panel can be seen over two floors it indicates a duplex home.

The new marketing suite and show apartments will be open from Saturday 3rd September and will then be open weekly from 11am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday. With lae night opening until 8pm on a Thursday Anybody wishing to obtain further information should call the Urban Splash sales team on 0333 666 9999 or visit http://ec2-63-34-210-119.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com/r...
