Urban Splash lets 18,000 sq ft of industrial space

    20 June 2012

Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has completed deals on 18,000 sq ft of industrial space in its North West portfolio.

The majority of the space has been let to Move Online Retail, a Manchester based online retailer of dancewear. The company has taken a 9,124 sq ft unit at Thorncross Close, an Urban Splash industrial site close to its head offices in Castlefield. The units here have ancillary office space and parking.

A further deal sees Taylor Electronics Manchester take an industrial unit on the nearby industrial site in Castlefield; with the company moving into a 3,480 sq ft space on Bentinck Street. Meanwhile in Liverpool, Advanced Business Co has taken a 2,967 sq ft unit at the Match Factory, a series of light industrial spaces which make up part of the Matchworks scheme of office, studio and industrial space on Speke Road.

Speaking of the deals the agent working with Urban Splash in Manchester, Altus Edwin Hill's Joseph Wilshaw, said: "This is a high volume of lettings and I am delighted that we have had so much activity within the Urban Splash portfolio in the North West. The units are each in great locations and a have a wealth of features that suit the needs of light industrial occupiers who currently have requirements in the market."

The Urban Splash commercial manager Paul Jones added: “We have a superb mix of industrial units across the North West and in the Midlands, and these units are often over shadowed by the more renowned office and studio space within our portfolio. It’s great therefore to have secured more lettings in this area of our portfolio and welcome more great businesses into the Urban Splash mix.”

Currently Urban Splash has other industrial space available on the City Court Trading Estate in Manchester and on the Matchworks scheme in Speke, Garston. Anyone wishing to obtain further details on these or space across the Urban Splash commercial portfolio can call the team on 0333 666 0000 or email commercial@urbansplash.co.uk.
