Urban Splash secures South Liverpool's largest letting
Award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has secured a raft of deals on more than 13,000 sq ft of commercial space in Liverpool – including the single biggest South Liverpool letting this year.
The significant deal saw recruitment firm Assist take 8,300 sq ft of space at the Matchworks development in Speke, its director Dave Dargan said: "I am delighted that we have completed our relocation and are joining the Matchworks community. The development is fantastically located and I look forward to meeting with the vast commercial population there.”
Another deal was completed at the Matchworks when online make-up distributor Kurious agreed to take a 2,735 sq ft unit at the scheme. The combined 11,000 sq ft of space taken by Kurious and Assist make up more than half of all South Liverpool deals done this year, as Urban Splash commercial manager Nicky Harries explained: “These deals are hugely significant in the local market accounting for 50% of the entire office take up for the area this year.
“I am so proud that we have been able to secure such fantastic tenants – not to mention a letting in excess of 8,000 sq ft which is one of the largest single deals in the Liverpool market this year.
“It’s testament to the Matchworks’ longstanding reputation as a fantastic base for businesses looking for a cost-effective alternative to the city centre.”
Meanwhile in Liverpool city centre Urban Splash has completed three deals on 1,900 sq ft of space in the Ropewalks. Charity City Hearts (UK) Limited – an existing tenant – has quadrupled its premises taking a 1,289 sq ft at the Vanilla Factory, while at Slater Studios DH Business Support has taken 380 sq ft and Lunar Commercial has taken 204 sq ft of space.
