Our fifth Weekend of Wonders at Royal William Yard
We recently held our fifth Weekend of Wonders at Royal William Yard - the perfect conclusion to a packed summer of activity at our waterfront community in Plymouth.
We were blessed with a sunny weekend with thousands of visitors making the most of the weather - and the awesome activities on offer; there was a mesmerising programme of performances courtesy of world-famous circus troupe, The invisible Circus, with guests encouraged to try circus themed activities for themselves. We witnessed some pretty impressive tightrope walking, plate spinning, diablo juggling and hula hooping from everyone who came along.
Other highlights included Riminski, the cycling pianist, and Handkerchief, the cycling bass player.
The jam-packed two-day celebration also included the weekend long Good Food Market, which brought over 100 stands to the event, welcoming regular and new traders to offer their wares to the crowds. New offerings included a waffle cone ice-cream stall, spiced rum and gourmet burger stalls, plus a brilliant pop up from local restaurant KUKU who entertained us with live demonstrations and made sushi onsite.
It’s whet all of our appetites for more Weekends of Wonders in 2020 - and of course the ongoing events we’re hosting between now and the end of the year. To find out what’s in store for the coming weeks and months, take a look at the website and our events calendar here we hope to welcome you very soon.
